卒業式（２０２３年３月２４日）

毎年、桜が満開になる頃、卒業式が開かれる。 張研究室は今年、大学院生4名、学部生4名が卒業しました。 おめでとうございます！

Every year when cherry blossoms, it is the time to open the graduation ceremony. This year we have 4 graduate students and 4 undergraduates students. Congratulations!

A paper authored by Mr. Li (D3),「Mechanical Control of Nonlinearity in Doubly Clamped MEMS Beam Resonators Using Preloaded Lattice-Mismatch Strain」, has been published in 「Physical Review Applied」（WOS JCR Q1）！

Paper publication

Miss Iimori's (M1)  paper "Two-dimensional measurement of resonance in MEMS resonators using stroboscopic differential interference contrast contrast microscopy" has been published in the journal OPTICS EXPRESS. Congratulations!
 
Miss Yamamoto's (M2) paper "Thermal and Optical Properties of Porous Nanomesh Structures for Sensitive Terahertz Bolometric Detection" has been published in the journal Sensors. Congratulations!

Graduations

Two M2 students and two B4 students have graduated from Zhang lab this March.  Congratulations! 

Paper publication

We have published a review paper titled by "Deep-nanometer-scale terahertz spectroscopy using a transistor geometry with metal nanogap electrodes"

 in "Light: Advanced Manufacturing". 

Although it is a review paper, it takes lots of efforts, and passed a long review process by six experts in terahertz area. I would like to recommend this paper if you are interested in nanoscale terahertz technology. -->

International conference

Sep. 1th, 2021,   Prof. Zhang gave a keynote talk in the International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz). 

Note：The International Conference on IRMMW-THz, begun in 1974, is the oldest and largest continuous forum specifically devoted to the field of ultra high frequency electronics and applications.

Graduation of B4 students

Yesterday, March 25th (Wednesday), we held a graduation ceremony for three B4 students. 
The weather was not good, but the cherry was in full bloom and beautiful. Two students are going to graduate school, and one will join a famous electronic company. I wish all of them will have a shining future like this cherry blossom.

B4 Alumni Celebration Party

   We held a celebration party for B4 graduates in the form of an online drinking party. Wish that the next party can be held face-to-face.

B4 graduation thesis presentation

 B4 graduation thesis presentation was held. Three students from Zhang Lab, Ms. Nishihiro, Ms. Yamamoto, and Mr. Miyanaga have completed their defence successfully. 

Furthermore, Ms. Yamamoto received the Excellent Graduation Paper Award. Congratulations!

International Conference

International Conference　 Sep. 2018,International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz) was held in Nagoya Congress Center。 Dr. Zhang has been invited to give a Keynote talk. The title of the talk is　"Novel bolometeric THz detection by MEMS resonators".
